A fight broke out over the food plate at a function in Rohini’s Sector-12 in the capital Delhi. During this, the 48-year-old catering employee was allegedly beaten to death by two people in the DJ’s team. After the information, the police reached the spot and took stock of the incident. The police have registered a case and started searching for the accused.
According to the information, this incident is on the intervening night of 8-9 February. A senior police officer said that the police had received information that a dispute was reported behind the Saawariya tent near Japanese Park in Sector-12 of Rohini.

Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police Rajneesh Garg said that when the police reached the spot, it was found that a person injured after the assault was taken to Baba Saheb Ambedkar Hospital, where doctors declared him brought dead.
The deceased was identified as Sandeep Thakur, resident of Prem Nagar, Kirari, Sandeep was in the catering team. Sandeep was beaten up by two people for not bringing a plate for the people who came with the DJ during the ceremony. During this, he was hit on the head with a plastic crate. In this matter, the police have started action by registering a case in Prashant Vihar police station.
Four people were present at the time of the incident, police is inquiring
Police said that in the investigation so far, it has been found that at the time when the fight took place, four people were present on the spot. Two people are being questioned and the role of all the suspects is being ascertained. A team has been formed to nab both the absconding accused.
Arjun Thakur, the brother of the deceased, said that he got information about the incident from the hospital. The hospital officials had called from Sandeep’s mobile. Sandeep used to work as a catering staff in parties. Bhai is survived by his wife and five children – three daughters and two sons. Two daughters are married. We have faith in the police investigation. Hope we get justice.
